Cardian Matsu People have consistently been missing out on what HS has been putting up, so I’ve been pleased to see more labels booking their work.

There’s a lot more variation in the texture and structure of their beats on this album compared to some mainstays in the style, tuned to be punchy and yet still complimentary to the more mellow, jazzy sounds that are built around it.

It’s almost akin to older beat tapes in that way, mixing a smooth core with something crisp on the outside. Favorite track: Heroic.
